1. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect:

• Name and email address
• Company name (optional)
• Password (stored as a one-way password hash)
• Billing information (processed securely via Stripe)

Data You Upload

DataV processes the data files you upload to create dashboards. This may include spreadsheets, business data, and any data you choose to connect via our integrations.

Important: Your uploaded data is yours. We do not access, analyze, or use your business data for any purpose other than providing the DataV service to you.

Usage Information

We automatically collect log data (IP address, browser type, pages visited), device information, and feature usage patterns to improve our product.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use collected information to provide and maintain the DataV service, process your data into visualizations, send service-related communications, provide customer support, improve our features, and ensure platform security.

3. Data Security

• Encryption in Transit: Public services use HTTPS.
• Storage: Access to service databases and backups is restricted to authorized operators.
• Access Controls: Role-based access with audit logging
• Infrastructure: The application is hosted on Hostinger infrastructure. Hosting-provider certifications are not a certification of DataV.
• Security Review: We review application access, dependency security, and recovery controls. Contact us for the current evidence available for your procurement review.

4. Data Retention

• Account Data: Retained while your account is active
• Uploaded Data: Kept to provide your workspace and reporting history. Contact privacy@datav.agency to request deletion and receive the applicable deletion timeline.
• Backups: Recovery copies may retain deleted records until their backup retention period ends. We confirm the applicable period when processing a deletion request.
• Logs and Audit History: Kept for security, troubleshooting, and evidence of account activity. Any contract-specific retention requirements must be agreed before uploading data.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share data only with your consent, with service providers under strict confidentiality, when required by law, or in connection with business transfers.

AI and Service Providers

When you use AI features, relevant prompts, uploaded content, and business context may be processed through our model gateway and its configured AI provider. We use Stripe for billing and Resend for service email. Ask us for the current processor list, data locations, and any required data-processing agreement before uploading restricted information.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, delete, and export your data, as well as opt out of marketing communications. Contact us at privacy@datav.agency.

7. Cookies and Tracking

We use essential cookies for authentication, analytics cookies to understand usage, and preference cookies to remember your settings. You can manage cookies through your browser settings.

8. International Data Transfers

DataV operates globally. If you are located outside the United States, your data may be transferred to and processed in the U.S. depending on the configured service providers. Contact us to confirm data-location and transfer requirements for your organization.

9. Children's Privacy

DataV is not intended for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Significant changes will be communicated via email or through the platform.
